Johnathan, Adams Nebraska High School Senior! Images by Jason and Tonja

Johnathan 2013 High School Senior

We have been blessed this year to work with yet another high school senior who has exemplified what it means to be a great person.  Talented, and friendly, I dare say that his classmates would call him outrageously funny.   What more could you ask for?

We created a special light to use with Johnathan, one that had been in the back of my mind for a while.   Being that Johnathan has a creative side and often performs vocally, he also gives speeches and is accustomed to being in the spotlight..  I thought we’d make a square light.  So Jason did!  ( He’s an genius you know…)

Our studio space in Omaha was perfect for this Adams, Nebraska Senior.

I’d like to share a few of my favorite images in this post…  Of course if you know Johnathan, you’ll have to ask to see more of his images.  We’ll also be sharing a few more on our facebook page a little later, he will also be featured later this year in our email so be sure to subscribe!  We really like to feature our clients!  Especially fun Seniors like Johnathan!

One of the reason’s we really LOVE creating portraits is that we want you to come away having had an amazing experience.  A custom experience created just for you, where you are the center of attention, where you can feel comfortable and really be yourself.

We love creating a relaxed environment where we can not only create the best images, but where you leave and you KNOW that your session just rocked!

Johnathan’s session was true to form.  We started out with the usual awkward moments.. and soon Johnathan was goofing around and moving like a pro.  He had the moves down and was really pouring himself into his images.  What a natural!

You might ask us why do you feel this way?   We truly feel that printed pictures are a way to share who you are right now with others in the future.  How I wish Jason had gotten prints of his senior photo session.  He didn’t.  There is ONE image of him at his parents home and one more for the yearbook and there are no more.  How I wish as his wife that I could see who he was during that period of time in his life.   The experience he had at that time has made him not like to be in front of the camera yet today.  =(  This makes me so so sad.

We love our clients, we strive to take great care of them and we want to offer the very best!  Check us out!   We only accept a limited number of clients due to our busy schedule, so keep us posted about your needs and wants!  We have the most amazing clients who are the greatest people, which is an honor for us!

We hope you’ll get connected with us through our email subscription firstly.  We also have more way’s you can follow our work with Johnathan and our other amazing clients.  Feel free to contact us, leave a message below or give us a call!

Johnathan, We are excited for the rest of your year!   Graduation is right around the corner!  Happy Birthday!!

We are blessed,

Jason and Tonja

The Time is Now! Families with Images by Jason and Tonja, Nebraska, Omaha, Loomis, Ashland, Kearney, Pleasenton, Lincoln

Grab them while you’ve got them…  Don’t let them slip away… The years flow quickly through the sand and melt the time away.

Your kids are only kids so long and soon they’ve outgrown the nest.  Their legs get long and they grow tall as the years climb over the fence.  One day before you know it, the time of young is done, and soon they will be all grown up and you’ll wonder where it has gone.

Those moments full of squishy cheeks, of gum stuck on their shoe, of report cards, and the pony tails, and out growing all those shoes.

The time comes quick so don’t delay, plan your pictures soon.  Each clock that ticks they years flow by and soon they are reaching for their moon’s.

For Keenan who’s flown the nest.

We are blessed,

Jason and Tonja

it is amazing how fast it they grow!

Natalie - October 13, 2012 - 2:56 am

So very true! I love getting family portraits done and it’s just myself and my two dogs. I think that’s the best part, a family is anyone or anything that loves you as much as you love them.

Clarissa - October 13, 2012 - 3:46 am

Great reminder… Love the picture!

Admin - October 13, 2012 - 4:22 am

I totally agree! Thanks Patty and Natalie for your words! Tonja

Huong Forrest - October 13, 2012 - 5:48 am

This is exactly why I’m committed to having my family’s portraits done once every 18 months at least!

Huong Forrest - October 13, 2012 - 5:53 am

I couldn’t agree more! They grow up so quickly!

When you set out before the light pops over the horizon…

And the cold chills you to your bones, the dew is heavy on each petal, and the road just seems so long, you’ll see laid out before you, a life that isn’t flat.  There are hills and there are valleys, streams, and rail road tracks, it may not always be easy, but you’ll enjoy right where you are at.

The sun begins to rise with each step your feet take, your heart begins to pump and the blood begins to race.  Your feet are carrying you steadily as the breeze begins to chase, you travel on like lightening, as the light hits you in your face.

You round the latest corner, dive through the brush and tree’s, you’ve nearly got a race as that bird begins to sing.  The warmth is reaching far inside, your glistening smile shines bright, your feet are really soaked right now, and squish with each new stride.

The race ain’t over yet you see you’ve nearly gone half way, the distance that you cover is many miles a day.  There are no crowds or streamers, just frogs and birds and bee’s.. the meadow’s joyfully sing as they blow in the breeze.

You are a mighty runner, there is no time to delay, your life won’t wait forever and you are going to make your way.

The hills don’t stop your climbing and the valleys aren’t so low, you move through life steadily with each new step you go.

There is success in each new day and each new challenge done.  You are well on to winning this race, one foot after the next.  Don’t stop, don’t rest, keep going as you always give your best.

For our 2011 Senior Sierra.    ~Tonja

Capturing Life After High School… Images by Jason and Tonja, High School Senior Photographers, Ashland Nebraska, Omaha Nebraska, Lincoln Nebraska

Just when you think you’ve reached the end….

                                                                   You get to reinvent yourself.

One of the neatest things is staying in touch with our past high school friends..  watching them become strong independent successful people.  Life begins after high school, new friendships, new skills, living on your own, studying what you choose, getting that first big pay check, and really growing into yourself.  We really enjoy hanging out with our young adult friends as their lives enter new stages.

Each one brings different joys, different moments to remember, and reasons to celebrate.  Sometimes those reasons are quite simple, other times they may be huge celebrations.  Regardless, we love having you in our lives, and we are blessed by your friendships and excited for your future!

Tiffany is a great example of this, she has really stepped into herself after high school, this girl is going far, she is goal oriented and is on a mission.  We couldn’t be prouder to have her in our lives!

Don’t think the only times in your life to celebrate who you are ends with your senior pictures.  Be sure to capture who you are as you become the adult you are dreaming of being!
Capturing Life After High School!

Time Flys ~ Images by Jason and Tonja ~ Ashland, Omaha, Lincoln, Holdrege, Nebraska Photographers

One moment…

You have but one chance in a lifetime to experience something for the first time.  The first steps, the first words, the first haircut…  Life is precious.   Why not take a bit of time to remember your children at their different stages and the things they do at different ages.  Before you know it, they will be headed off to preschool, to kindergarten, the next thing you know you’ve got a tween..  where to the little moments of first experiences go?

Time sure does fly.  I remember as a child learning to ride a bike.  I didn’t have one that was my size to ride, but I did have my fathers 10 speed.  It was pretty challenging I must admit, I didn’t fit it at all and pretty much had to start and stop with flying mounts and dismounts..  I am sure I was quite the site.  Thankfully no one captured those moments as I am sure they would make for great YouTube or blackmail materials..  However I do have other moments that my parents chose to capture, and I often look at those images and can remember the days around which those images were created.  They make me happy, I know I was loved, and I have a photo treasures that have made my childhood easier to recall.

We don’t have our own kids, but we sure do enjoy watching other peoples kids experience things for the first time.  Watching life through their eyes is a way to keep everything in life fresh and new.  Full of wonder, the realities of the world not ever having been thought of.  The security of knowing mom and dad are right there with you and that you can’t fail.  They grow so fast, they change right before your eyes, and if you aren’t paying attention, you are likely to miss the great joy they share through their experiences.

Our little fishing girl… is one of those children who looks at life through big blue eyes and experiences everything with curiosity, and wonder.  She is full of life, and sure that she wants her parents right by her side.  She loves to help and have fun.

Take this time now to get your children’s portrait appointment scheduled with us.  Let us capture these moments in time for you so that you will have them to treasure long after they’ve grown up.  When they have their children they will be able to point to these pictures and say see, this is who I was at your age.   Moments like these will stand the test of time and become treasures of their future.

Thanks to the lovely Megan for being such a beautiful subject to photograph.  We love capturing moments in your life!

We are blessed,

Jason and Tonja

This is SO true. I have a little girl and she is growing so fast! I wish I had taken more pictures of her when she was younger! You can never get that time back!

Kim Edwards Ogden - August 20, 2012 - 8:49 pm

This is so true! My first two babies are all grown up now and I only have the 13-year old left. Where was custom photography when my kids were little?
